Considering the safety and efficacy of the herbal medicines as primary medicine due to several associated properties such as antimicrobial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions an attempt has been made to develop a polyherbal cream which can give multipurpose effect, like moisturizer, reduce acne and skin irritation, reduce skin diseases etc. and also adding glow to the face. Multipurpose polyherbal cream was prepared using herbal extracts of Nyctanthes arbortristis, Tridax procumbens and Psidium gaujava in eight different formulations (F1- F8) and were evaluated for organoleptic properties like colour, odour, consistency, pH, spredability, washability, phase separation, after feel and found within standards. Antimicrobial study of multipurpose polyherbal cream was performed by cup plate method for zone of inhibition and two folds dilution method for MIC (Minimum Inhibitory Concentration) and showed excellent antibacterial activity against E. coli by F8 formulation as compare to F1-F7. Optimized F8 formulation was subjected for stability studies at different temperature like 25°C, 37°C and 45°C for 2 weeks, showed no change in color as well as phase separation.
